O Emmy 2017 aconteceu ontem, domingo, e premiou as melhores séries, mini-séries e filmes para a TV nos EUA. Todas as 4 principais categorias foram vencidas por produções com focos em mulheres (Veep, The Handmaid’s Tale, Big Little Lies e Black Mirror: San Junipero) e alguns prêmios trouxeram pioneirismo ao serem ganhados pela primeira vez por homens e mulheres negras.

O comediante Stephen Colbert foi o anfitrião da festa, que teve muitas de suas piadas apontadas para o presidente dos EUA, Donald Trump.

Um dos fatos novos da noite foi a Hulu, que bateu a Netflix e se tornou o primeiro serviço de streaming a ganhar uma das principais premiações de série da noite, vencendo por The Handmaid’s Tale.
